Chatfield Brass Band & Music Lending Library
Dedicated to the preservation of our musical heritage, the Chatfield library has collected and cataloged more than 30,000 pieces, many of which are no longer in print. The music collection not only includes band music (the largest portion), but also orchestra, dance band, sheet music, and numerous other categories. The library is a non-profit organization, funded solely by memberships, fees and donations.

Honor Flight Network 
Honor Flight programs are dedicated to transporting as many United States military veterans as possible to see the memorials of the respective war(s) they fought in Washington, D.C. at no cost to the veterans. The Honor Flight Network has a link to schedules throughout the country. Community Bands are encouraged to check the schedule and see if they might be able to provide music for a sendoff or welcome home ceremony in their area. Members please see “Honoring Our Veterans – The Honor Flight Network”, in the June 2017 issue of the Journal to learn more about the Honor Flight program and music that is available for the occasion.

International Society for the Investigation and Promotion of Wind Music (IGEB)
The International Society for the Investigation and Promotion of Wind Music (Internationale Gesellschaft zur Erforschung und Förderung der Blasmusik) (IGEB) was founded in 1974 in Graz, Austria. The aim of the society is the exploration of all aspects of wind music by means of international congresses at which musicologists, conductors, interested musicians and amateurs can exchange ideas and knowledge. A series of publications, Alta Musica, provides for the dissemination of research on a wide variety of topics dealing with wind music. At present, over 420 members from over 30 countries belong to IGEB

Library of Congress John Philip Sousa Section
The Library of Congress web site as a new page devoted to John Philip Sousa. Largely the work of Loras Schissel, the library's Sousa expert, the site includes a wealth of Sousa info, including sheet music, selected music manuscripts, photographs, historical recordings of the Sousa Band, copies of programs and press clippings, and more.

Making Music Magazine
Each issue of Making Music is filled with stories about amateur musicians, music making hobbyists, and recreational music making programs, as well as instructional tips, health news, book and DVD resources, and much more.

John Philip Sousa Foundation
The John Philip Sousa Foundation is a non-profit foundation dedicated to the promotion of international understanding through the medium of band music. Through the administration of band related projects, the foundation seeks to uphold the standards and ideals of that icon of the American spirit, John Philip Sousa.

New Horizons International
New Horizons Music programs provide entry points to music making for adults, including those with no musical experience at all and those who were active in school music programs but have been inactive for a long time.

World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles (WASBE)
The World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles (WASBE) is an international organization of wind band conductors, composers, performers, publishers, teachers, instrument makers and friends of wind music. It is the only organization completely dedicated to enhancing the quality of the wind band throughout the world and exposing its members to new worlds of repertoire, musical culture, people and places.
