JOURNAL OF THE ASSOCIATION OF CONCERT BANDS

The Association of Concert Bands publishes a magazine, the ACB Journal, to exchange information among people involved in adult concert bands and sponsors many projects to fulfill our mission. The ACB Journal is published 3 times per year in February, June, and October.

2017 June Issue Features in every issue include: New Music Review, View from the Podium, Member Band News, Program Exchange, Member Band Spotlight, Opportunities to Play Away as well as information provided by the President, Editor, and Membership Chair. Featured articles include a variety of topics of interest to the band world. Topics include items that fall under "Band Management" such as fundraising, trip planning, budgeting, advertising, and writing grant proposals; "History" such as that of styles of music, bands, composers, and instrumentation; "Musician Health" including aging, hearing loss, proper playing posture; "Interviews" with composers, conductors, and musicians; "Performance" including choosing music, dealing with the elements, seating, and announcing.
