We’re all in uncharted territory, navigating the new challenges of COVID-19 in our personal lives and with our band family. ACB has some new options to help with this journey.

“COVID-19 and Bands” Forum

Concerts and rehearsals have been cancelled, challenging many bands to use video conferencing applications such as Zoom, Google Hangouts, or Skype to keep people connected. If your band has experiences with these platforms, other ideas, or concerns to share, we welcome you to share these with others in the new COVID-19 and Bands Forum, established for discussion of the issues facing bands during and after COVID-19. Aerosol Studies

The Association of Concert Bands is financially supporting two research studies looking at the risks of COVID-19 in the arts community:

"Aerosol Generation from Musical and Theatrical Performers and Risk of Infectious Disease Transmission." This is the study commissioned by the CBDNA/NFHS COVID-19 Research Coalition. Virtual Opportunities Webpage

Some are hosted by ACB Members, such as The Lonestar Symphonic Wind Orchestra (Performance opportunity) and the DunedIn Concert Band (Online workshop).
