Regional Connection Events - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Why is ACB having these events?
ACB is offering a new service to its members by offering multiple, shorter events. These events are not intended to replace conventions, but will offer an alternative for those members who can not travel to multi-day events in other parts of the country.
Will there still be ACB Conventions in the future?
Yes. ACB Conventions will return beginning in 2025.
How long are these events?
Each event will be one day, perhaps preceded by concerts on the previous evening.
What will the day's schedule look like?

If I am not in a performing band, will there be an opportunity for me to play?
Yes! There will be music reading sessions where musicians will read new music, and spend some time working on some music. Currently, these events do not have a performance of this music planned.
How is a region defined? Are these events open to people who live outside of the region?
There is no formal definition of a “region". Anyone is eligible to register for any event -- Although we hope to draw many attendees from the local region, we also welcome anyone wishing to travel to these locations to participate.
How much will it cost to attend one of these events?
Individual registration fees will be under $50 for ACB members and will include lunch.
How does a band apply to perform at an event?
There will be an application process announced several months before each event. The application will ask for information about the band, including recordings.
What kind of music will be in the music reading sessions?
The sessions will be mostly new music, including music grades 2-5.
